Sean Stephenson – The 3 Foot Giant On Overcoming Obstacles

If you’re letting excuses hold you back from getting what you want, this video training with Sean Stephenson is exactly what you need.  Talk about an inspiring guy who kicks your excuses a kick in the butt!

Known as the 3 Foot Giant (because he’s literally only 3 feet tall), Sean Stephenson was supposed to die at birth.  Diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, he defied the odds simply by living.   Born with a condition that makes his bones as brittle as toothpicks, he endured more than 200 broken bones in his first several years of life.

Sean has all the good ‘reasons’ in the world to be a victim, and have people feel sorry for him.  He was going to be taken care of by others for his entire life.

Until he decided that he wasn’t going to stand for that.

Sean is a true role model of the spirit of the human race, and he’s inspired millions of people around the world to Take a Stand, and get off their ‘but’.

In this remarkable and touching video, Sean reveals:

  • How to keep moving forward, even against painful and frightening obstacles
  • What we all share in common, regardless of who we are (and how to harness those commonalities)
  • What it is that keeps us from achieving our dreams and desires
  • Why connection is so important, and how to achieve it with those that matter to you

Sean’s presentation was one of the most popular sessions at the 4 day Engage Today event, and I’m pretty sure if you’ve never heard of him before, Sean’s going to be a new role model and mentor for you.

Watch the video, and then POST a comment Sean will be reading these comments himself, so speak directly TO him and what you got out of this clip!

    Sean.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the world. I am going through a major life change and with it a healing of my whole life. I do my best to honor this passage and I believe that we are here to participate in our own unique way, in the raising in vibration and consciousness of our mother earth, as well as our species. Listening to you this morning gave me a ray of joy and courage to get up and continue to reach for my vision of a world living from the heart, starting with me. Blessed be. Monique

That sounds like a connection issue on your end. The videos are set up to begin streaming, so you shouldn’t have to download them before watching them. They’re being hosted on Amazon’s S3 servers, which basically means that speed at that end shouldn’t be an issue.

These are high quality videos that require a solid high speed connection. There’s no way around that, so unfortunately, that’s the price paid when you’re talking about really good quality video!

    sean,
wow ” you left me speechless, i felt that checking you out as disabled and in a wheelchair, your wisdom is that of a 6foot man not 3 foot
you left your disabilities behind and you conquered your life
reaching out for whatever you deem to want,
Many of us only think about ourselves ,but it takes a really wise man to think and act for the sake of others ,especialy the worl, there are things which block our viewpoint along the way of life
Thanks sean for pointing out ,that anydoor can be opened
provided that you make the effort to knock on your particulair door
That life is not for sitting on your butt ”
watching and waiting for otheres to show you the way
Yes i have sat on my butt, untill the age of 12 then i decided otherwise,
No ime not a business man nor run any company
BUT I WOULD HAVE LIKED 2
    I was a carpenter builder/inventor/ writer /poet and a songwriter/
All i have now are dreams
Most important i have 1 voice allthough i have listened to millions of other voices over the years
    mostly complaining about life
should have read and seen your info 20 years ago
as we all need encouragment in our lives
Thats where the responsible father or mother comes in

    Hello Sean,
Thank you for your motivational words and reminding me that we all should have a vision to help make this planet a better place. I’ve always had a knowing that I was to help bring peace to the world and help others know their own divinity. Since I’ve recently become unemployed, I felt like maybe it was the universe’s way of kicking me in the butt and telling me to go for it. My question is, where would you suggest I start?
I actually wrote Oprah a letter and suggested a new television network called GNN–The Good News Network, where it would only focus on people’s triumphs, overcoming adversity and man’s humanity to man. It would be an alternative to the regular fare on tv where we are bombarded with violence, war, injustice and other crimes against one another. I believe that what we feed our brain is what comes out. So why not have a network focusing on peace, love and triumph of the human spirit? Well, I never got a response. Maybe I’ll try a few other networks?
So how did you get that negative voice out of your head, and what do you do to keep it silenced. Thanks again for your inspiration. God Bless You. ed

As a parent of a sixteen year old boy with autism facing another IEP with the school, working with the Dept. of mental health requesting that he be given the opportunity to live in his own home with supports and be included in his community, your talk convinced me to stop suffering with the pain of what these people put me through. I will no longer make apologies for my son. He deserves an education and live in his community with people who love him. Thanks, Sean!

Your amazing, what is the secret behind the mind that wont give up. What books do you recommend?

  9. January 20th, 2010 at 19:07 | #9

Awesome! Excuses are out of my life. As Sean said, we have the power within us to achieve all that we dream and desire and we must take a stand for what is right and just for ourselves and all humankind. Connecting and associating with postive like-minded people will produce agents of change.

    Hi Sean,

First off thank you for sharing and making me smile.

I will continue to follow my vision that you can count on. When you spoke about liking and taking care of yourself that is so true so many people do not. I explain to women of all ages to love themselves they need to self care.

My grandfather use to say ships do not stay in the port they explore the waters and so should the human race. I will remember no buts…… Thank you fo being YOU!!!!.

    Take care,
    Brenda Patton

Thank you for so eloquently reminding me that my “mission” is more important than my misery or momentary struggles! I do believe my life pleasure is directly related to my ability to navigate my life pain.

Sean, a truly inspirational video. It is one thing to say the words, but another to live them as you do. Today you reminded me that my mission should be my North Star. The next time I am feeling uncertain or confused about something, I will look to my mission and navigate from it. Thank you so much.

Thank you Sean. Your message really spoke to my heart and bought me to tears. My mom use to say if you don’t have anything nice to say…I never related that to myself. I now have that mantra to use on myself. Again, thank you.

Sean, We all have a contribution to make, a sharing that is our responsibilty alone. We can choose to ignore that calling with all our excuses and BUTS!!! Thank you for simplifying the whole process in a no nonsense easy to follow PLAN. Thanks for sharing who you are and for giving me food for thought and motivation to move forward with my own plan…Diane

    Sean,

It is an amazing and inspiring insight. I’m forced to relook at my purpose…vision and how to deal with ‘but’!…. The most compelling one is …”When you find the ‘purpose’ to your pain, you will find the ‘drive’ to go thru it”… Awesome!

    Many thanks!

Hi Sean, I just want to think you for reminding all of use who seems to forget that we are our own worst ememies. I like to write poetry but afraid or don’t know how to get started, yes i know another but i have put in my way.
I wrote: IT WOULD BE HARDER FOR YOU TO ACCEPT ME IF YOU ARE STILL LOOKING BACK AT ME. You see that is one of my biggest problems i keep looking at my limited ability of not knowing, but feel i have the greatest potential to be a great writer of short bits of wisdom that is poetry. LOVE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU. LOVE AND PEACE JAMES

I am absolutely with you and I know exactly what I want to accomplish until I leave my body. I stumbled on that during a seminar with Bob Proctor. The questions and story you shared with us is very inspiring. Thank you very much for that.

All these motivational speeches are great but how do a person change from the inside.
How can a person be searching for a lifetime and still not find there life purpose I agree
we are here to do something but how do you find out what it is.
how do one know which direction to move How do one find out what their real talents are.
I admire all peoples who have found their purpose in life but how do I find mine where must I look
